Talia and The Fictions formed in Nashville, TN in early 2016. Influenced by the jazz of legends such as Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, and Nina Simone and the rock of Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, and The Rolling Stones, Talia and The Fictions have been compared to contemporary bands Alabama Shakes and Lake Street Dive.

At 19 years old, Talia Stewart is a singer/songwriter whose husky vocals bring a distinctive jazz style to her soulful rock sound. Born in Southern California, Talia grew up an avid reader and writer, composing her own short stories and poems for years until she combined her love of music with her love of literature and began songwriting. Her major vocal influences include Nina Simone, Janis Joplin, Jeff Buckley, Tori Amos, and Amy Winehouse. In 2015, she moved from Orange County, CA to Nashville, TN and performs frequently in the Nashville area with her band The Fictions. Her debut EP is set to be released early fall of 2016.
